David Hamer is the Managing Member of Expedition Capital, LLC, a real estate investment company that owns and operates multifamily residential properties.

From 1998 to 2015, David served as the Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer of G&L Realty Corp., a commercial real estate investment trust that specialized in medical office buildings and senior care facilities. As VP of Finance, David worked on over $1 billion of commercial real estate financings and helped with the acquisition and disposition of properties of approximately the same value.

David has extensive experience in underwriting real estate properties, real estate financial analysis, mortgage financings, the public equity markets, and the day-to-day accounting for and operation of real estate. Prior to joining G&L Realty Corp., David was a senior accountant for Deloitte & Touche, LLP, one of the “Big Four” national accounting firms, where he specialized in the real estate industry.

David is a certified financial planner (CFP), holds the chartered financial analyst designation (CFA), and is a former certified public accountant (CPA). David is married and has three daughters.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing, coaching, and watching sports (particularly softball, basketball, and soccer), reading, traveling, and drinking wine. David has participated in several marathons, half marathons, and triathlons and completed an Ironman Triathlon in 2010.
